This is the privacy policy for Road Bro (also known as Silver Bullet Road Bro), an iOS app published by Decor Elevate Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
We've kept this as plain-English as legally possible. Short version: Road Bro does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data. Everything you create stays on your iPhone.
1. What we collect
We collect nothing. Road Bro has no servers. We have no analytics. We have no login. There is no account.
Every piece of data Road Bro creates or uses — your trips, missions, files, settings — is stored locally on your iPhone using iOS's built-in storage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (e.g. emailing yourself a CSV).
2. iOS permissions Road Bro asks for
The app requests permissions from iOS to function. These are governed by iOS — we receive the data only on your device, and only while the app is processing it:
- Location (Always) — used to auto-detect when you start and end drives, even when the app is closed. The detected route stays on your device. We never see it.
- Motion & Fitness — used to recognise when you're driving so a trip can begin automatically. Used on-device only.
- Files & Photos — only when you tap the + button to attach a file to a mission. Whatever file you pick is copied to Road Bro's storage on your phone. We never see it.
- Notifications (optional) — if you grant them, Road Bro can post a notification when a trip lands. No notification content is sent off-device.
You can revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings → Road Bro.
3. Where your data is stored
All Road Bro data lives in your iPhone's local app sandbox, the standard iOS storage area for apps. Depending on your iCloud settings, iOS may include this storage in your encrypted device backup — that's controlled by you in iOS Settings, not by us.
If you uninstall Road Bro, iOS deletes all its local data.
4. Third parties
Road Bro uses these on-device system APIs from Apple:
- MapKit — to render maps inside the app
- CoreLocation — to detect drives
- CoreMotion — to detect movement
- MKLocalSearchCompleter — for address autocomplete (this DOES send the text you type to Apple's servers, governed by Apple's Maps Privacy Policy)
When you tap "Open in Maps" for navigation, your destination is handed off to either Apple Maps or Google Maps depending on your setting. From that point on, the maps app's own privacy policy applies.
When you export an HMRC report or share a file via the iOS share sheet, you control where it goes. We have no involvement.
5. Children's privacy
Road Bro is intended for adult business users. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 16.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and explain the change. Because we collect nothing, there's not much that could change.
